Why The Ear Is Paining And Feels Stopped?

My ear felt like it was stopped up kinda like the feeling you get when riding to the mountains and reach that high elevation two days ago. Yesterday it still remained that way. I have used some drops to break up wax thinking it may be a wax build up. I have done this twice. I also tried to syringe to remove wax. Today, the third day, I applied a heating pad to the ear. After heat, my ear began to have peicing pains periodically. It still feels stopped up but the pain is still there. What should I do and can I treat this at home?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
the symptoms suggestive of Acute Otitis media. Inflammation of middle ear theerby ear drum too. No drops will act now.
You may require Mucolitics and antihistamines along with analgesics. Do steam inhalation. Do not blow /sniff nose. If you did not get relief meet your ENT Dr. Take care.
