Why My Mother Is Still Sick After Taking Ondansetron And Nitrofurantoin?
my mother is 73 and got ill from the hospital puting die in her blood veins for many of test in one week three times she is very sick took her back they gave her ondansetron odt 4mg four times a day and nitrofurantoin mono/mac 100mg now she is very very sick what do i do
Hello As you mentioned that they put dye in her vein for many tests . Some patients reacts to these dyes hence, starts vomiting and feels nausea . When such type of cases visit in my clinic I usually prescribe intravenous fluid ( nothing orally ) of Ringer Lactate and electrolyte - M, till patient get full relief . Nitrofurantoin in itself causes nausea and hyper acidity. In my opinion consult one more physician and get his consultation. Good luck for your mother.
