dear sir my wife is undergone to c section babay birth .and now after 5 weeks there is vaginal smell exists.usg report normal and internal examination reveals normal .i m in need of ur expert openion. hello Dr.i have need of ur experts openion.my wife undergone to c section for babay birth in emergency.now wound well healed ,usg report normal.utrus collapsed. and internal examination reveals normal .but there is some foul small from the last 2 weeks exists.already used for levoflaxacin 500mg with chymotripsin.and 2nd time used for chmotripsin and azithromycin 500mg in od for 5 days and also uesed for biomousse gel (a hygenic gel and antiseptic)and also used for piodine wash after each micturation.now what is ur experts openion .i will wait for.

Hi,there are a few reasons that could cause this.First is vaginal infection for which antibiotics are needed.Use of pessary may be useful.UTI is another cause.I suggest use of clotrimazole pessary for a week at night.Good hygiene is very important.Wash with antiseptic every few hrs.As the lochia stops,the smell should go away.
