Why Is There Pain In Jaws And Severe Headaches?

my son born in 1962 has started having slivers of bone work out of his gums causing severe h4eadaches. e had gum surgery where the gum was split open and the bone ground down. He had the surgery about 3-4 weeks ago and is having more bone work out - a lot of pain in te jaw area as well as headaches again. what is causing this?

Hi, Jaw and specifically periosteal layer of bone is sensitive for pain. Headaches can originate from the trigeminal branch responsible for carrying sensation from various regions in the head. This is medically refered to as trigiminal neuralgia
