Hi. Thank for your query. Noted the history of constant stomach growl, not painful at all, which you at first thought to be hunger pangs, but the sounds continue even after eating, wants to know whether this is due to HIV, already negative STDs but still bothered. The commonest cause of constant growling in the abdomen is sub-acute intestinal obstruction and can be diagnosed by the following: X-ray of the abdomen in standing position. CT scan with contrast to know the site of obstruction. If there is no obstruction then the other possibilities are consumption of aerated drinks or overgrowth of gas-producing bacteria in the intestine. A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics help a lot. Get a clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon.
