Why Is My Tongue Having A Metallic Taste?

Please, My tongue has been bothering me in the past and has now started up again. I am on Thyroid medicine and have to watch gluten, etc. I have been but now it is feeling kind of hot and sensitive and hard to describe the flavor, kind of a metal taste. Super bothersome. Doesn t hurt, just uncomfortable and irritating. Thank you

The metallic taste cane be drug induced. Particularly, since you are giving history of takeing thyroid drugs like carbimazole and methimazole can result in metallic taste. Nothing to be panic, consult your endocrinologist and get the drug replaced with other drugs.
