Why Is My Toddler Having Seizures, More Weight Gain And Trouble Breathing?

Have a friend with a son who is three. At about 2 1/2 years, he began to have a severe and rapid weight gain. Other symptoms followed in the next few months - seizures, more weight gain, trouble breathing, and other random symptoms. This past week, his symptoms caused a visit to the ER, where they found he also has an enlarged heart. He was moved to the PICU and has been undergoing endless tests, including ekg, eeg, CAT scans, MRIs... everything. And they can t pinpoint the problem. Anyone with any ideas?
