my son is four and since ever his toe nails looks light brown and looks like its peeling what is that...

If the nail looks like it is peeling or the shape of the nail is altered then it can be due to any infection of yeast or fungal and it may even be due to deficiency of iron(anaemia) and it is called Koilonychia where the nails become flat or spoon shaped as a result of iron deficiency.Get him to a Paediatrician for examination and treatment.

nail problem descibe by u may be due to
-low HB
-calcium deficiency
-psoriasis
-lichen planus
-normal variant
-due to trauma
u need to consult dermatologist for the perfect treatment .
give him more milk ,green veg and fruits.
