General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Normally swelling occurs in both the legs if the cause is general but if one is having swelling in one leg then it means the reason is local pertaining to that leg only.
Reasons for one leg swelling can be
Deep vein thrombosis ( clots in deep veins)
Lymphoedema( blockage of lymphatic ducts)
Rarely a condition specifically occurring in females and that too in left leg called as
May-thumer syndrome(iliac vein compression)
Consult a vascular surgeon and get
Venous Doppler
And possible MRI of pelvis done
Thanks
Regards
