Why Is My Husband Suffering From Headache After He Was Hit On The Back Of His Neck With A Ball ?

My husband was hit in the back of the neck 2 days ago with a hard thrown softball. He is complaining of a headache that is getting worse and is persistant. Should we go see the dr? He is 28 and in good health. The pain is worse esp when working out, and better when he is resting.

Hi welcome to Healthcaremagic

Hi..., By the above history, the neck pain may be due to muscle sprain..,
but if the pain is severe not relieved by analgesic then , CT or MRI of neck lateral View may be require to rule out any Hair line fracture or Disc prolapse...
hence if pain persist then consult an orthopedician..
Hope I have answered your question..

Takecare...
