Why High Fever Is Recurring With Pain In Eyes And Forehead In Child?

My 2 year old started running fever two nights ago started at 104 I got it to drop quickly but never below 100 and about 6 hours later at 103 than by the next night no more fever was present and all this morning. About 2 hours ago his fever came back to 102. He feels fine runs around playing and has no other symptoms. He did tell me a few times his eyes hurt and 2 time that his forehead hurt. What could be going on with him? Should I take him into see a dr?
