Why Has My Color On The Wrist Changed After Taking Cortisone Injection ?

Hi, I had a cortisone injection in September 2010. Soon after the spot on my wrist where I had the injection changed colour and went darker, about the size of a 50p. Is there anything that can be done to get the colour back to normal? Will it fade?
