Why does heart beats really hard sometimes.?

i can feel my heart beating in my chest, neck/head, and stomach after i eat or for no reason at all. the beats actually move my body and it feels very strange. my heart also seems to have two levels at which it beats at. for example, when i am playing basketball my heart will beat normally then suddenly it will start to beat extremely fast to where i have to stop. I m only eighteen so i don t think i have high cholesterol but i do tend to have elevated blood pressure when i go to the doctor. does anyone else experience this kind of thing and should i go to the doctor?

I have the same problem.

I went to the hospital yesturday, they checked my blood pressure and my sugar level for diabetes and everything is alright.

When I go to bed at night and I wake up my heart is pounding and I don't know why. What I'm going to do next is check for my cholesterol level, blood clots in arteries and exercice more.

You might want to get your blood pressure checked out at someplace other than your doctor's office to rule out white coat hypertension. If it is still elevated go see your doctor.
