Why Does Consuming Tylenol And Aleve For Headaches Lead To Bright Red Rectal Bleeding?

Hello,
I'm a 50 year old female. I have been having rectal bleeding for quite sometime now. I also have: Dizziness, headaches, tenderness/bruising if I bump my arms, legs or feet. I suffer severe lower back, hips and leg pains. I have been to doctors, pain mgmt., P/T. I have had colonoscopies, MRI's, etc... Whenever I take Tylenol, Aleve, Advil or Sinus Meds OTC. I suffer really bad Bright Red rectal bleeding. I cannot seem to get any help? Thank you. Tracey

Hello.Rectal bleeding may be in relation to the intake of Naproxen or Ibuprofen, not related to the intake of Acetaminophen. If colonoscopy and other additional tests are normal, your doctor should consider replacing naproxen and ibuprofen by other effective painkiller for back pain without gastrointestinal side effects such as Tramadol.I wish you good health.
