Why Do Hips And Shoulders Hurt Badly When Lying Down?

Why do my hips and shoulders hurt so badly only when I lay down at night. 46 female. The worst part is there are no free answers to peoples questions. I lve in VA and one of the unfortunate ones that lost my insurance thanks to the great and might Obama care. I am at high risk for all types of cancer as they run in my family. I suffer with unbearable pain daily. Would a bullet to the head be my best cure as VA does not offer Medicaid!

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Pain in both shoulders may be due to age related degenerative changes in both joints or arthritis. Also since you are reaching menopausal age hormone withdrawal related osteoporosis also may be the issue. So are you having menses regularly or it has stopped? You need to be investigated with 1. Serum ra factor to rule out arthritis. If u out are menopausal and experience hot flashes please consult gynecologist nearby you. Start tab diclofenac 50mg twice a day for pain relief.
