Why Do I Have Swelling And Soreness In My Ribs?

Thank you for your help. My left side feels swollen. It is the most sore between my rib cage and my hip. I first noticed the discomfort after taking antibiotics for testicular varicocele. I have stopped eating gluten two weeks ago. This seemed to help at first, but now the pain comes and goes. My pain seems to be worse after I eat (but not always). I have normal bowel movements. I have been taking probiotics for 2 weeks. Any ideas?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of acute gastritis is more.
You are having pain in the stomach area. Your pain is worse after eating food.
These all suggest acute gastritis.
So avoid stress and tension. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food. Drink plenty of fluids orally. Start proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic drugs.
Go for walk after meals.
You will mostly improve in 1 week with all these.
If not improving then consult doctor and get done ultrasound examination of abdomen to rule out internal abdominal pathology.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
