Why Do I Have Severe Pain In The Incision Done For Appendix Removal?

Hi, I had my appendix removed about 2 years ago and i still have acute pain in that area and sometimes its bad to where i cant catch my breath i often get like a ripping sensation in the area and it starts itching it was an incision and got infected while i was in the hospital i spent about a month in the hospital after surgery a horrible experience and horrible recuperation when i was released and went to see my surgeon for follow up he opened the incision to clean it but didn t close it back up is this normal? and if so what is this pain I m feeling?

Hello.Having sensation of pain in the scar of the surgical intervention is normal, but if the pain is very intense or scar is red, hot, swollen, you should go to your surgeon as soon as possible for examination.
