Why Do I Have Hairfall ?

I m a 15 year old girl, and I have naturally thick, curly, red hair . I lose much in the shower it s not even funny. Like big, HUGE clumps just fall out. My mom always thought I was going to be bald-headed. She would joke around when I was a kid and tell me that she could make a Barbie-doll out of all the hair I would lose. It s crazy because my hair stays so thick. Why is this??

hi! welcome to health care Magic Forum.
Severe hair loss in females is usually due to anemia or hormonal imbalance .Other rare causes are low serum iron level,zn def, protein def,crash dieting,improper eating habits ,improper sleeping habits etc.You should get your investigations done first and then go treatment.But in any case there are few medicines which you can start like Mintop 2% topically over scalp twice a day.Start taking iron tablets as well.You can also take biotin(5mg) daily.Keep your diet good like take lot of green leafy vegetables,high protein diet,plenty of water,fresh fruits ,sprouts ,and a good 7 hr sleep.Consult a dermatologist and ask him about things i've mentioned .take care .

Such diffuse hair loss can have many reasons varying from simple anemia to some hormonal causes. Do consult a dermatologist who might ask u for some investigations n then treat u accordingly
