Why Do I Have Brownish Discharge From Vagina And Loose Stools Leaking From Vagina?

Hi I gave birth to my daughter 9 months ago. My periods have returned back to normal, but the problem is I have brown discharge that comes spontaneously. I have been checked for std, infections and even retained placental I even believe I may have a rectovaginal fistula due to me uncontrollably passing gas through through my vaginal and if I have loose stools it will leak through my vagina. I have even seen a colorectal specialist and still no answers. This has been going on for 7 months now. What could be wrong???

Hi.
From the history you have provided you are obviously suffering from a colo-vaginal or recto-vaginal fistula.
This has to be confirmed by a fistulogram and is really difficult to diagnose if it is small in diameter. One may have to do this with water soluble dye passed in the rectum and see for the leaks. Sometimes MRI may also help in diagnosis.
The only obvious treatment is Surgery.
Go for this at the earliest after a good preparation as advised by your Surgeon for its success.
