Why Did My Acne Vulgaris Reappear?
i have an acne vulgaris problem. ..very mild though frequent in the month of monsoon. have shown to the doc..is prescribes..azee 500 and deriva CMS gel for 15 days. have been going to the doc since 3 yrs now.. after medication the pimple is gone wid no scar and clean face...but re appear after an yr ..same time. why?

Acne is a disorder of sebaceous gland which is influenced by your adolescent hormones and you will continue to have it till that hormonal influence is over. It might be 28 yrs or 30 yrs or even 32. Right now it has gone into remission due to treatment with antibiotic and topical retinoid. But you need to maintain the remission using a maintenance cream. Topical retinoid is the best maintenance cream. You can apply a pea size amount of Deriva C or plain Deriva gel (adapalene 0.1% gel) at night over pimple prone areas so that you won't get any relapse.
Avoid creams on your face. Avoid too much oil on your scalp. Diet is important. Avoid milk and milk products like cheese, chocolates, sweets, sugary foods and drinks. Eat a lot of fruits rich in vitamin A
