welcome tohealthcaremagic
all the contraceptive measures have failure rates
you are using for one yr and so far no untoward effect
in any method if you miss a period consult gynecologist that's all
you may have less bleeding but period will be regular with the medicineyou areusing
nipples may be tender because of engorgement

General & Family Physician Dr. Ramesh M.Vachharajani's  Response
Thanks for query,
Oral contraceptives are very effective for preventing pregnancy.Practically there are no chance of pregnancy if taken properly.
But as you are taking for pretty long time, you may discontinue for some time. After few months break you restart .
But you should be careful about pregnancy during this time.
Breast engorgement is common,so do not worry.
ok and bye,
