Neurologist 's  Response
You need to get evaluated for a scan immediately just in case there was some bleeding like a subdural hematoma. If this is normal, then it is very common to have post-traumatic headache even from a mild head injury. These are usually self-limiting but have lasted a long time for some people. Studies regarding post-traumatic headache have been ongoing for some time and there is no exact reason as to why these develop or even what the best treatment is. A post-traumatic headache can appear like any other primary headache like migraine or tension headache and is often treated as such. See a neurologist after you have been seen urgently for a CT scan
