Why Am I Not Having Bleeding After Taking Mifepristone And Misopristol?

: hi doctor...i m 19f n i m nearly 3weeks pregnant..i m going through a medical abortion right now. i had mifepristone on 14th feb at around 1 pm..and 2tablets of misopristol on 15th feb at arnd 3pm... but nothing really happend except for a bit of a cramping.after 45 hrs i took 2more pills of miso but it has been 22hrs now, n seems like even it is not working for me...i got cramps for few hours but then even they vanished too...no signs of bleeding till yet..wat do u advice me to do?? should i wait ,or take 2more pills of it ?? please help me out i m really very tensed??

Understand your concern
There is no bleeding in your case is may due to you did not use under the proper guidance of gynecologist, you did not follow the drug schedule or may be abnormal pregnancy. Medical termination of early (up to 63 days of pregnancy) intrauterine pregnancy should be done by gynecologist's prescribed abortion kit after USG scan under guidance and observation. Mifepristone 600 mg orally should be followed by misoprostol 400 ug vaginally after 24 hour, if no bleeding another two tablet should be put by gynecologist after 4 hour. Dose should be modified by gynecologist if no response. Follow up USG after 14 days to confirm the completeness of abortion process. Bleeding will start with in 1-2 hour after taking last pill and completed in 3-4 days.
So please consult the gynecologist and get the pelvic examination for more dose requirement. Do not take extra dose at home as it cause excessive bleeding. If drugs fail then you should not continue the pregnancy as it cause fetal malformation.It should be removed by the surgical process like evacuation.
