Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Increased SGPT indicates liver injury.
Increase in SGPT may be due to many reasons like hepatitis, alcohol intake, altered lipid profile, medicines, auto immune causes etc.
SGOT is non specific and it increases in many conditions.
You need proper evaluation.

You need few more investigations like random blood sugar(RBS),renal function test(RFT),lipid profile,GGT level, urine RE/ME.
You are rightly advised for biopsy to know the exact etiology.

You should avoid red meat and high fat milk products.
You should avoid fried and junk food.

Medicines should be prescribed after complete investigations.

Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question.

Take Care
