Why 8 Year Old Kid Wets Pants In The Morning?

My 8 year old grandson seems to wet his pants slightly right when he gets up in the morning. His bed is never wet so I know he is not wetting it at night or in bed. He is not circumcised if that matters. He has a strong urine. He has done this since totally potty trained at age 5.

Naturally, children tend to sleep soundly in the morning hours and they may not be able to control the wetting activity. This could be overcome by a simple step. Wake the child up at around midnight for urination. Also counsel the child about the behavior he is having. The problem should be settled in a day.
