White smelly discharge coming from my vagina with a negative HPG

i am 23 yrs old and have a white smelly discharge coming from my vagina for almost a week and now i have been experincing severe burning sensation while passing urine for the past three days.i assumed it is an uti so i had lots of water and had noritel. today i visited a doc she gave me medicine o2 and pan for five days. also i have been given cansoft to insert. firstly i want to know how to insert cansoft and if it will hurt ? i am sexually active and i wish to know if this is an std? though we always use protection there have been a few instances when we havent but my partner did not come in me. i checked using a home pregnancy test the next few days and it was negative. my second question is how reliable is the home pregnancy test. thirdly my periods are not with regular with large gaps from 2 to 6 months . i want to know if this medication will help none the less and also how do i keep a check of my pregnancy from time to time without having a regular menstrual cycle .

Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
You are having Vaginal Candidiasis which is Fungal Infection of Vagina. Kindly don't worry as your History doesn't suggest STD. To insert a Pessary, Wash your hands.
Remove any foil or plastic wrapping from the pessary and applicator if supplied.
If an applicator is supplied, push the pessary into the hole at the end of the applicator. Sit or lie down with your knees bent and legs apart, Gently insert the pessary into the vagina as far as is comfortably possible using either your fingers or the applicator. If you are using an applicator, depress the plunger to release the pessary then remove the applicator from your vagina.Wash your hands again.
If you have Irregular periods, Kindly get yourself examined by a Gynecologist so that she can examine you and suggest Ultrasound scan and Blood Work up to rule out If you have PCOS or Hypothyroidism as they are known to cause Irregular periods. If the Periods are irregular, the chances of conceiving are less. If you have had Unprotected sex, Between the 10th and 20th day of your cycle which is the Most fertile period, and then if your Miss your Periods, wait for a week and then get a Urine Pregnancy test done using a Early morning urine sample which is the ideal time and sample. If you have gained weight recently, exercise regularly and maintain a healthy weight. Eat healthy nutritious balanced diet which should include fresh fruits and Green leafy vegetables. Avoid stress. Stick to your treatment plan and go for regular follow up.

Wish you Good Health, Take Care.

welcome to healthcaremagic
you are having infection
it may be std with uti
get a clinical examination from a gynecologist and get the tests done to have proper diagnosis and treatment

the treatment should be taken by both the partners
insert the consoft with inserter supplied with the drug or with washed fingers putting it high in vagina on lying down position
regarding checking preg with irregular period it is always advisable to take contraceptive measures all the time to avoid worry and unwanted pregnancy
take advice from gynecologist or condomes should be used all the time properly
