Hai Ragul,
Avoid creams and lotions. This particular condition can be hereditary or after any kind of contact with allergens like chemicals, paints or metals. Where exactly did these patches begin to appear on your body? This condition must be treated by taking medicines internally. I suggest Homoeopathy. Consult a homoeopath near your area to get the right medicine suiting your body.

Hi!G.Ragulananthan,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum,
Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition ,where in our own body cell start destroying our own cells and in this case its melanocytes which give color to our body. First check whether you have any other auto immune problem or not like thyroid problem etc. There are two basic types of vitiligo –one which is stable (not spreading) & other which is active (spreading). If it is spreading you need to take medicines which can stop the growth of the lesion .Secondly you need to repigment these white patches and that can be done by photo toxic medicines like melanocyl. Melanocyl comes in two forms –oral & cream/lotion. We give oral melanocyl when the lesions are extensive .This tab has to be taken orally and patient has to expose these white patches to sunlight after 2hr.One has to protect his eyes during this treatment by wearing UVA protective glasses. This treatment is called PHOTOTHERAPY or PUVA therapy. Some clinic or hospital have PUVA chambers where you can go and take PUVA therapy. This treatment gives color to your white patches. Along with this patient has to apply steroid creams over the skin too. Other auto immune condition if present needs to be treated along with. In stable localized cases we can also go for surgery called skin grafting. So,meet a dermatologist(allopathy) who would understand your problem and discuss with him above points .I am sure you would get good relief. All the best .If you have further queries plz feel free to contact us.
Take care ,

Dear Ragul,

Per Greek theory, one of the factors causing vitiligo is increase of phlegm volume in the body leading to abnormal tissue/cell reproduction, hence you will see white patches appearing on the skin. Avoid fish, eggs, brinjal, beef, curd, milk and all sour articles to stop spreading. Once it becomes stable you can try treatment, then the results will be good.
