White Circle On Arm. Had Lotromin. Helped, But Flaky. Why?
i have a white cirlce on my arm the size of a quarter, im quite tan so its very noticeable. i immediately assumed ring worm because there was a faint red circle around it so i went and bought lotromin and have been applying it rather inconsistently i must admit for the past 2 weeks. the ring is gone and the white patch has become smoother(as it was rough and flaky before) but its still there. any ideas?
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. As you have correctly diagnised it is a fungal infection called ring worm, and it needs treatment with systemic anti fungals, topical medicines and vitamin suppliments to avoid relapse as fungal infections have a high tendency to recurence. So i advise you to consult a dermatologist to have diagnosis and treatment.
Besides i advise you some diet recomendations as avoid taking brinjal, fish, and other sea foods.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, milk, egg, meat, fruits, juices, and dry fruits to develope resistance againest such infections. Wishing for a quick recovery and thanks for calling.
