Which Type Of Doctor Should Be Consulted For Thyroid Problems?
I am taking Armour 30mg 2 times a day. Will actalin help my thyroid and do i take both? My tsh came in at 0.723 and my Dr. Says no need to run more blood work. I am so exhausted and can not function like I used too. I am having another ultrasound because of nodules. What type of Dr. Can help me with my thyroid issues? Thank you
Hello, Thanks for posting in HCM. As your TSH now is 0.723 it is at lower side of normal range that means your reports suggest you are going in hyperthyroid state. It will be advisable to stop the armor medications or atleast reduce the dosage. And plus it will be advisable not to take additional Actalin on top of armour. It will be beneficial input when you get your ultrasound scan done which will help in coming to diagnosis more precisely. For thyroid problems, endocrinologist is the person who can guide and manage you properly. So kindly consult endocrinologist before you make any changes to your medications. I hope I answered your question satisfactorily. If you have any more query kindly write back to me, will be happy to help you out. Thank you.
