Which Tablet Should I Take For Chlamydia?

If I think I have chlamydia, I do have in my home a current prescription of Azithromycin tablets. A 250mg tablet, another tablet strength of 600mg. Which one should I take and for how many days?
I have the azithromycin on hand due to my HIV status of healthy but low T cell count. Long term HIV survivor-22 yrs. My CD4 count is 114, zero viral load-as of 2/1/2014. I already gave the info on payment, entered the information, and no answer. Customer service?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Patients who have chlamydial infection and also are infected with HIV should receive the same treatment regimen as those who are HIV negative.

It is important to know that treating infected patients prevents sexual transmission of the disease, and treating all sex partners of those testing positive for chlamydia can prevent reinfection of the index patient and infection of other partners.

Recommended therapy:
Azithromycin 1 g orally in a single dose
OR
Doxycycline 100 mg orally twice a day for 7 days

It would be better if you visit your doctor to see if it is for sure Chlamydia trachomatis.
