Which Medication Can Be Given To Child Suffering From Light Fever And Dizziness?

Hi, my 7 year girl is having a lihgt fiver and feels dizzie. She is not feeling well. It has been 24 hrs since I started her on acetaminophen. I just gave her a second dose of DayQuil to see if it helps her with the symptoms. What can I do to best help her? Thanks in advance.

Hello. Thank you for the question. The most common diagnosis in a child of this age with a light fever is a viral syndrome. These are ultimately harmless and resolve on their own. The dizziness is most likely due to mild dehydration. Often when ill, fluid requirement increases. Dizziness results when we don't keep up with the increased requirement. If the symptoms worsen or persist over 2-3 days, I recommend consjlting with your doctor.
