When Will The Abdominal Pain Subside When Having BV?

I have BV and took 2G of Metronidazole two days ago. In addition I am taking probiotics and eating yogurt to increase the levels of Lactobacillus acidophilus in my system. The discharge has subsided but the lower abdominal pain/cramping is still present. When should I expect this to subside?

Hi.
Ideally BV should not cause any abdominal pain at all. The pain is suggestive of an associated Pelvic inflammatory disease or some other problem.
You need to have a course of an antibiotic and continue Metronidazole. You sex partner should also take take ( if you have one).
Also get an ultrasonography and other relevant investigations if asked by your Docotr.
