When Will Cough In A Child Be Cured?

My daughter is suffering with cough almost since 15 days, I thought its normal cough which comes and goes with season changes but surprisingly the cough is being continued more than 2 weeks which made me to take her to hospital. However doctor asked the symtoms and confirmed that she is suffering with allergic bronchitis.

Could you please let me know whether this is curable completely or she needs to suffer with this for ever ?

Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic. Allergic bronchitis is caused by a specific allergen. This particular condition is triggered by an overly active immune system that attacks harmless foreign substances that enters the body. The immune system identifies the foreign substance as dangerous and releases antibodies to fight the substance. Allergic bronchitis can effectively be treated by having the right information about the disease and also being informed on what kind of allergen is causing the irritation. You can go for a series of test of the particular allergens that causes the irritation. Normally, prevention of allergic bronchitis will include staying away from the allergens that causes the condition. You have to consider that allergic bronchitis may worsen during the summer months as there will be a lot of allergens available.

By carefully managing allergic bronchitis, your daughter will be able to live a normal and productive life. Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards.
