When Should The Pregnancy Test Be Taken While Planning For Pregnancy?

Hi doc..my gynae asked me to have meprate twice daily for 14 days..then she asked me to have goodova 50 for 5 days..on eight day of my period she prescrided me to have progynova..me and my husband are trying every alternate day ..when should I go for home pregnancy test???

Understand your concern
You have to think about pregnancy once your period will delay by 10-12 days from the normal expected period date.
Home urinary pregnancy kit: it should be taken 8-10 days after missed period. Should be done with fresh urine sample in the early morning.

Blood HCG : it is more sensitive than urine pregnancy kit. Detect the pregnancy even with in 7 days of missed period. Earliest pregnancy test can be detected 10-12 days after conception.

Transvaginal USG scan by gynecologist: It is fullproof visual confirmation of pregnancy. when blood HCG rises 1100 mIU/ml then gestational sac can be seen in uterus (4-5 week after pregnancy).
