When Should The First Tetanus Injection Be Given In Pregnancy?

We are consulting a gyn Dr, My wife is four months pregnant and Dr has suggested that she will give first Tetanus vaccine in the fifth month, I got to know from my friend that it will be usually given in the third month of pregnancy, Please let me know is it fine to take vaccine in the fifth month (We have done one scanning all the tests are normal)

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion usually 2 doses of Inj.TT is given one in 5 th month and other in 7th month of pregnancy.But if they are missed then 2 doses are given before the completion of pregnancy with one month gap.Dont worry.It is safe to take in 5 th month.Some doctors prescribe it in 3 rd and 5 th months.
