When Should Pregnancy Test Be Taken Post Missed Periods?

Hi! I am about 4 days late on my period. I had unprotected sex every day, multiple times a day from the 4th through today. I wondering if it is possible to conceive just a few days before my missed period. It s not normal for my period to be any more than a day late. If it s possible, when is the best time to test? I ve taken two first response and a positive line faintly showed on both and then disappeared as the test went on and also took a clear blue digital and got a negative. I understand it is really early if I am pregnant but wondering if possible and when the best time to test is?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The best time is 11 to 14 days after possible conception.

The pregnancy tests detect hcg. This is a hormone secreted in pregnancy and it is released in increasing amounts as pregnancy progresses.

By day 14, levels are high enough that it can be detected.

You can consider repeating the test in a few days.

I hope this helps
