When Should Levothyroxine, Atenolol And Plavix Be Taken?
HI I have a problem with Levothorxin thyroid med. I take it in the morning and I have to wait 2 hrs. before taking any meds or vitamins. I take Atenolol at night and Plavix and aspirin in the morning. What is the best times to take all these meds.
Hello, Welcome on Healthcare Magic! I understand your concern. Reading about what kind of medication you take, I think the time it is ok. The best time for taking the levothyroxine it is in the morning with empty stomach. Some studies showed the same efficacy and ifi you take it in the bedtime, but if you don't have problems about this medication I suggest not to change because of the other medication. Also the reason why aspirin and plavix are indicate to take in the morning, it is because the most common time of heart attacks or strokes are in the morning. So I would say the also don't change the time only if you have any problem. Well this is the best time on my thinking, but there is no problem if you take another time of the day. And about atenolol, which can be taken, once or twice a day, as you have some medication, the best time for take it for you I think it is at night. I wish my answer was helpful to you! Best Regards! Dr Eniola
