When Should I Start Exercising After Polyp Removal?
Had a polyp removed a few days ago at my obgn. Very simple in office procedure it was roved and cauterized. I'm having slight cramping and A little bleeding still nothing heavy. I was wondering how many days should I wait to excersise ? I dont want to push it and delay healing.
Since it's a minor procedure you may resume to physical activity after a period of 1 week provided there is no bleeding, signs of infection like fever or pain abdomen. However it is suggested that you don't exert too much in the gym. Avoid lifting heavy weights. Do not run too much on the treadmill. Start at a slow pace. Try walking, elliptical/cross trained for cardio. Perform yoga to improve flexibility and reproductive health. Avoid spicy and oily food to avoid bowel irritation which is common after surgeries. Consult your gynecologist in case of any complications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
