When Is The Right Time To Have Sex After Abortion?
Hi, I just I want to know that what should be the time gap between an abortion and sex after abrtion? My wife used abortion pills at the time of abortion and it was a week back. Now her bleeding is stopped. Please suggest. Also want to know do my wife have any future risk to be pregnent?
Hi Greetings. I understand your concern. You had a medical abortion 5 months back after confirming an intrauterine pregnancy It is normal to have some fluid in Pouch of Douglas. That has nothing to do with your previous abortion as the present scan is otherwise normal. Had there been any ectopic pregnancy now (which is possible) or any other abnormalities of ovary, tubes or other organs need to do have follow up. There can be mild collection normally during ovulation also. So if you are menstruating normally with out pain abdomen and nausea ,need not worry about the mild fluid collection.hope my answer helps you. Regards
Hello dear Understand your concern. Bleeding and cramps may be continue for 7-9 days after using abortion pills. Your period may be become irregular or heavy/light. So you should not have sex at least two weeks. or once the period become regular you can start sex. But consult the gynecologist and do follow up USG for incomplete abortion and prevent other complication of abortion kit.
Use safer sex practice to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
