When Is The Lower Lip With Stitches Likely To Look Normal Again?

Five days ago I slipped and fell in the bathtub. My teeth cut through my bottom lip. An oral surgeon stitched up my lip. Though the swelling has eased, I still feel as if my bottom lip were detached from my teeth, and I noticed in the mirror that when I lower my face my bottom lip seems to hang a little bit. Will my lip come back to normal soon? Thanks for your attention.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.

It will take at least 2 months for the scar to heal.

After two weeks you can start applying scar healing creams like scarnil.

This will help in faster healing.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
