Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In a normal 28-30 day menstrual cycle, gestation sac is seen through a trans-vaginal sonogram soon after the missed period. This means the pregnancy can be establishes at 4 weeks gestation. Fetal cardiac activity can be visualized between 5-6 weeks of gestation and is clearly seen by the 7th week. So, your age of pregnancy depends on your cycle length. In this scenario, if the repeat sonogram shows no heart beat, you are likely to have a missed pregnancy. Serial titres of serum beta-hCG also can be done to detect progress. Doubling of titres every 2-3 days suggests good progress. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
