When Do Periods Start After Medical Abortion?

After misoprostol bleeding started and continued for 1 week and also few drops of blood were observed after urinating for another one week.after 3 weeks i confirmed thrice by using home pregnency test and it showed negative .but it been 5th week now for my next period cycle to come,when can i expect them? Also there was white fluid discharge few days back but now symptoms or feeling of period to come...?

HI,
I have read your query & understanad your concern.
- it's important to confirm complete abortion after medical termination, by consulting a gynecologist.
- Periods can get irregular after medical / natural abortion due to the hormonal imbalance caused by sudden removal of pregnancy. your period may or may not get late in normal ,
- but be aware, there is also possibility of re conception following abortion,when not cared for & such pregnancy may not be detected by home pregnancy test so early.
* Now in case your periods are delayed by 1 full month,you should consult a gynecologist , get examined. after performing internal examination she may advise you USG scan to pin point cause & offer you needful treatment.
