When I Am Stand Still My Heart Beats Incredibly Fast ?

I m 15 years old, male, 145 lbs and I m not very athlectic (not until baseball season starts at my school, in January or so). When I lay down or even walk/run it seems to return to normal. When I m in a line waiting for something I feel light-headed and I struggle to breath because of my rapid standing heart rate. whats wrong? i don t want to go to a doctor yet because they ll just send me on a wild goose chase.

Fast heartbeat that you notice, with shortness of breath, and lightheadedness, is a problem. If you think your heart is going fast and you have the other things stated above, they you REALLY NEED TO GO TO ER NOW> you need an EKG. There are problems with heart conduction that can cause this, and there are heart diseases that can cause it (including infection). Either way it could be serious or even fatal. SEE doctor now! ER is best, they can do EKG. If nothing shows on first EKG, have other tests done and EKG when you are feeling what you state here (even if you have to stand for it).. Doesn't matter that you are 15. Conduction problems can be from birth, and infection could happen to anyone! SEE THE DOCTOR, or GO TO ER if you are having symptoms now! EDIT - whoever voted negative, well you don't know what you're dealing with here! I have 30 yrs experience and specialty in cardiac surgery/ CCU. What qualifies you, negative person?
