Wheezing, Short Breath, Chest Infection, Upper Back Pain. X Ray, Blood Test Normal. Referred An Ultrasound. Problem?

I am having shortness of breath and wheezing a lot I had a really bad chest infection at Xmas and have had upper back pain and the breathing problems ever since I went to the doctors and had blood tests and a chest X-ray which they said was clear but now I have just been told they are referring me for an ultrasound what would they be looking for

Not sure what the ultrasound would be for. You would probably benefit more from a pulmonary function test to assess your overall pulmonary function/status.
