Respected Sir/Madam Thanks for your query to us. Crestor or rosuvastatin is one of the statins. Like all English system drugs it is also associated with certain side effects. They occur usually in acceptable proportion of patients, that s how they are approved for use. Statins are beyond doubt the best drugs for managing cholesterol and are only drugs which show mortality benefit in cholesterol disorders. Life style modification like avoiding fried foods/ optimal weight/ regular supervised walk/ avoiding excess of sweets/ STEP II DIET recommended by AHA are all helpful but can reduced cholesterol by ~25% only.
