What Would Cause Swelling & White Spots On Tonsils?
I went to the er last friday they told me i have swollen tonsils they told me to take ibprofeoun for a couple of days but my tonsils have white spots on them and its hard for me to swallow my food and they said if it dont go away its probably bacteria infection they will give me a shot is this right
Hi dear user Swollen tonsils is a signs of an infammation but white spots in tonsils in my opinion is a sign of a bacterial infection in your tonsils and this means that probably the antiinflamatory non steroidal drug(ibuprofen) is not sufficient and it is right that at this point the doctor will give you antibiotic tablets or injection. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Wish you good health. Dr Elona
