For two years I have been suffering with bouts of extreme weakness that come on suddenly. My hands get ice cold at times, but during these episodes, I am so weak I can hardly talk. Sometimes they pass after a few minutes, but some last longer than others. I have extremem difficulty sleeping at night. I have occasional migraines and had to stop wearing contacts because my eyes are too dry. My muscles ache during these episodes. I was originally diagnosed with Lymes, took several rounds of antibiotics, but they didn t help. I have been tested by cardiologists, neurologists, internists, and now I m trying an Endocrinologist. My thyroid tests are normal. My bloodwork show absolutely nothing! I am so frustrated, because I m 38 yrs. old and no one can tell me what s wrong. Some doctors talk to me like I m crazy, and I can understand why. I have all of these debilitating symptoms but no medical tests reveal anything. I would go to Johns Hopkins, Duke,.....anywhere, if I knew what to do. I m at wit s end with trying to describe an illness that seems to be so illusive.
