Hello and Welcome,
I empathize with your situation. Please clarify if your invasive cancer is still being treated with chemo, and, if so, we will need the names of the drugs. Also, other medications you are on may interact with supplements and supplements may interact with supplements.

Until we receive more information I can tell you that according to calculations, you need to take in 1800 calories per day to maintain your current weight, which is perfect for your height.

I suggest that you start with a balanced diet with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables properly scrubbed, lean sources of protein and strive for 25-30 grams of fiber per day. Avoid all processed foods, sugars, sweeteners (except stevia). Whole grains are best. Assure 8-10 glasses of pure 0 calorie water per day to flush the toxins (unless kidney involvement). Keep your sodium under 2,300 calories.

A DEXA scan will tell you the status of your bones. I suggest you have one to learn whether you have osteoporosis secondary to the comment about your tooth breakage. Speaking of which. what is your status on chewing as that will change the menu plan a dietitian helps you with?

At age 50, calcium intake may be a concern. If not a problem with your primary doctor, supplemental calcium may be needed along with vitamin D. Ask him for a vitamin D test. Vitamin D will increase the absorption of calcium so depending on your D status and overall diet I cannot tell you how much you may need.

If you do shop for vitamins, look for hypoallergenic vitamins without fillers. I have several name brands that I trust- Emerson, Pure Encapsulations, PureRxo, Metagenics.

So, to answer a personalized question such as you are asking, I suggest you see a Dietitian for a personalized assessment and meal plans.
