What Treatment To Be Taken For The Swollen Lymph?

Hi, I was in Judo practice and i was resisting a choke for an extended period of time, at most 3 minutes, and i later observed a lump in my neck just behind my jawline and under my ear (possibly a swollen tonsillar lymph node?). Is this just a swollen lymph node or something more nefarious?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Lymph node enlargement can be due to infection, inflammation or neoplasm.
Is there history of sore throat recently?
It is common for lymph nodes to enlarge after episode of infection.
First you need to get a clinical examination to know the nature and site of lesion- lymph node or some other swelling.
If the lesion turns out to be a lymph node an aspiration cytology of the lesion needs to be done.
In aspiration cytology, cells of the swelling are aspirated with needle.
These cells are spread on slide and stained with appropriate stains.
These cells are examined microscopically to know the nature and character of lesion.

Thanks and take care
