Hello, I am Sachin, one of my cousin, Madhuri, 41 year old, suffering sever pain in her left ankle while walking only. There is swelling on the ankle. 3D Colour doppler shows Tenosynovitis could be the possble cause as two Tiny perforators one 5 cm above ankle and other 10 cm below knee . what is to be done for this and which doctor is to be contacted
Would like to know, how severe is the pain & how prominent is the swelling when she gets up in the morning. For me investigation more important than Color doppler are ,routine CBC,ESR,CRP & Rheaumatoid Factor. How much she weighs.

Read your prob, tenosynovitis is accumulation of fluid in synovial sheaht which cover tendon. in mild case it can be treated only by non steroidal anti inflammatory like ibuprofen, in sever case it can be treated by injectable steroid. you should consult with your doc n start proper treatment. do not worry it is curable.
Welcome to HCM.
You can consult an orthopaedician.Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen can relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Local injections of corticosteroids may be useful as well. Some patients need surgery to remove the inflammation surrounding the tendon, but this is not common.
Wish her good health.
